Appearance[]
- Humanoid
- Size comparable to that of a young child
- Tetradactyl hands with opposable thumbs
- No visible toes on their feet
- Tail is relatively long and thin, ending in a tuft of fur
- Sexual dimorphism: Males have their entire heads covered in thick facial hair, which obscures their eyes, mouth and ears; leaving only the nose visible. Females, on the other hand, have no hair on their faces and sometimes not even on their scalps.
Biological traits[]
- Interdimensional travel: They have the natural ability to access and travel within Nowhere Space.
Habitat[]
- Household habitat: Each Nisse is associated with and inhabits a specific house or building.
- Curiously, in spite of their aggressive territoriality, they recognize the legal ownership of the house as not theirs and the house owner has the right to banish an inconvenient Nisse; who will adhere to their banished status and not attempt to return.
- Otherworldly habitat: Within the house, Nisses will make nests in the interdimensional realm known as Nowhere Space; which consists of the sum of cracks and corners in which missing objects often end up (and are there appropriated by the Nisse).
Behaviour[]
- Territorial: Nisses are extremely aggressive towards others of their kind and will not tolerate their presence. If their territory is invaded, they will violently fight off the intruder.
- The only known exception to this is couples who stay together while raising young children.
- Nisses are extremely distrusting of their own kin; to the point that they will automatically assume anything said by another Nisse is a lie, even if it corroborates with the Nisse's own experiences.
- Make use of clothes and objects that have ended up in Nowhere Space.
